Project focus: The Fellow will engage directly with scientists, communication professionals, policy practitioners, and staff of multilateral organizations to identify effective approaches for communicating scientific evidence for policy uptake and translate these into practical tools and guidance.
Khudejah Ali is a communication scholar whose research examines misinformation, persuasion, and digital behavior, with a focus on health and science communication and public engagement with science. Her work explores the influence of digital media on beliefs and health behaviors. With an interdisciplinary background in communication and mathematics, Khudejah brings quantitative and experimental research expertise to understanding the connections between information, beliefs, and behavior. Her scholarship has appeared in Science Communication, Computers in Human Behavior, and Internet Research. Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Pakistan, where she taught strategic communication, research methods, and data-driven marketing. Khudejah holds a Ph.D. in communication from the University of Miami, an M.S. in financial mathematics from Florida State University, and a B.S. (honors) in mathematics from LUMS. Her academic experience across Pakistan and the United States informs her sensitivity to the cultural and institutional contexts in which science is communicated.
